(OFweek) - Recently, China's electronic science and technology information institute of MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) released China's first sensor industry development white paper in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. According to the white paper, Chinese sensor market has a sustainable rapid grow in recent years, with an increase of over 20% annually. Yet, some problems still exist, for example, the technical level is very low and the high-end sensor products are heavily from the import, etc.

The white paper also showed that with an annual growth rate of more than 20% from 2009 to 2013, the market scale is expected to exceed RMB 86 billion in 2014. It is estimated that Chinese sensor market will has a stable rapid development in the following five years and the average sales growth rate might reach 30% or more.
In 2013, Chinese sensors were mainly applied in the following four fields, namely, industry, automotive electronics, communication electronic product and consumer electronics. To be specific, industrial and automotive electronics has accounted for 42% or so shares of the sensor market, while automotive electronics and communication electronics markets have the fastest development.
