(OFweek) – The demands for Chinese industrial robots have been
greatly increased over recent years. According to the latest industry
survey report released by the National Robot Association and the
International Robot Association on March 23, the sales of Chinese
industrial robots reached 57,000, a 55% year-on-year increase,
accounting for about 25% of the global total. This made China became the
largest robot market in the world for two consecutive years with the
annual average growth rate achieved 29%.
As the representative of
the organizer of the Robot Conference, Mao Weiming who is the vice
minister of MIIT pointed out that the statistics showed the robots have
been widely used in the industry, enterprises, production lines and
smart factories and they have made a positive effect.
Mao also
noted that through China is the biggest robot market in the world, it
still fails to meet the demand of the national economy. For example, the
sales of the manufacturing brand robots were 16,000 in 2014, but most
of them were middle- and low-end robots, while the high-end ones were
mostly imported. The growth of the high-end robot market was not that
ideal and many market opportunities have been missed.
He believed
that there are four steps to realize the success in the market and
equipment fields. First, the 12th Five-Year Plan and 13th Five-Year Plan
should be made for the development of Chinese robot industry to guild
the growth of the industry. Second, supportive policies should be made
to support the development, promotion and application of the robots and
the standard system should be established. Third, the promotion and
application of robots should be enhanced in the major manufacturing
fields. Fourth, the Global Robot Conference 2015 should be held to
strengthen the communication and exchange.
